Thank You Ushaji and Ganga Sadan for the Great Memories

The last General class was recently taught at Patanjala Yoga Kendra before its March 31 closure. The yogashala has been a welcoming and inspiring place to practice Iyengar yoga for thousands of people from around the world for over 30 years. And for many it has been a place to spend many months at a time, and to return year after year.

The yogashala and our illustrious Master, Ushaji have given us memories that will last a lifetime and the skills and love of Iyengar yoga that will inspire us for years to come. Her own inspiring story of how she recovered from two major accidents and her devotion to Guruji who worked with her to recover from her accidents and as her mentor, speak to her qualities of resilience, inner strength, loyalty and her personal understanding of how yoga can transform the body. Her sense of humour, ability to get the most out of her students, depth of knowledge and understanding of asana practice, and her skill of connecting asana to each yoga student have made her a teacher that her students both love and respect.

Thank you for the memories and the opportunity to learn in the most beautiful yogashala in the world, alongside Mother Ganga and in the serene presence of Patanjali. Thank you Ushaji for inspiring us and pushing us to always use our minds and our bodies to be our best as yoga practitioners.
